Candy Storage Cabinets: Plan Reserve Stock as Part of the Display
Hidden storage is useful only when staff can identify and retrieve what it contains. The cabinet should support rotation rather than conceal excess stock.
Start with the decision
Measure the refill cartons, packaging materials and tools that need a place. Separate saleable stock from returns, held products and maintenance items under the shop's procedures.
Work through the details
Draw the doors and drawers open on the working plan. Check whether staff can access storage while customers use the display above, and avoid a deep corner that requires unpacking several cartons to reach one item.
A planning example
Wrapping paper, sale stock and held returns share an under-counter cupboard. Separate these uses and label locations before changing the cupboard size. The correct amount of storage is easier to determine after each category has a clear role and handling rule.
Check it in the shop
Label the locations and test a refill handover with another staff member. Keep stock conditions and cleaning needs in view; a closed door does not by itself make a cabinet suitable for every product.
