Candy Store Shelf Height: Balance Visibility, Reach and Refill

Shelf height depends on who uses the shelf and what they handle. There is no single height that suits every candy format or store.
Start with the decision
Place the real pack, label and front edge in a full-size trial. Test the customer's view and the staff refill route, including any lids or hooks that need extra opening space.
Work through the details
Assign heavy, fragile or frequently handled items to positions supported by the approved use plan. Review customer access requirements with the relevant local professionals instead of copying a universal dimension from another shop.

A planning example
A hanging pack fits the shelf opening but cannot be lifted off its hook without touching the shelf above. Include the removal movement in the trial, then revise the hook or shelf spacing. Static dimensions alone can hide a task that fails every time a customer selects the item.
Check it in the shop
Check the upper and lower shelves at low stock as well as full stock. If staff need extra access equipment, include its safe use and storage in the operating plan before ordering the cabinet.

Frequently asked questions
Can height be copied from another shop's photograph?
Use actual packs, users, access requirements and installation conditions. A photograph does not provide a reliable dimensional or compliance basis.
