Candy Fixture Lead Time: Build a Schedule from Dependencies

A production duration is only one part of the time between enquiry and opening. The schedule should show what has to happen before fabrication can start.
Start with the decision
List site measurement, equipment information, drawings, samples and approval responsibilities. Separate supplier working time from time waiting for the buyer or landlord to answer a question.
Work through the details
Add production, inspection, packing, freight, customs where relevant and local installation. Confirm the scope and assumptions with the parties responsible instead of treating a catalogue lead-time claim as a guaranteed opening date.

A planning example
A finish change is requested after sample approval. Ask whether it changes material availability, fabrication or inspection, then update the agreed milestones. Do not keep the original opening promise merely because the new colour looks like a small visual change.
Check it in the shop
Keep changes linked to their effect on the schedule. If a material or dimension changes after approval, request an updated commitment and check the downstream tasks before announcing the revised launch.
