Candy Fixture Delivery: Check the Route before the Packing List

A well-packed fixture still cannot enter a lift that is too small. Delivery access belongs in the design brief.
Start with the decision
Measure vehicle access, unloading space, doors, lifts, turns and the final pitch. Record restrictions on delivery hours and handling equipment with the building or venue team.
Work through the details
Use the route to agree module divisions and package sizes. Number the furniture modules, their hardware and the corresponding crates so the receiving team can identify what is needed first.

A planning example
A one-piece counter fits the shop footprint but cannot pass an internal turn from the loading bay. Agree a module split before fabrication, then identify the joints and site assembly. Solving the problem after the crate arrives can add damage risk and unplanned work.
Check it in the shop
Check package condition before unpacking and keep a clear record of shortages or damage. Confirm who unloads, moves, assembles and connects the fixtures; these tasks should not be assumed to be included in freight.

Frequently asked questions
Who should confirm unloading and final placement?
The quotation and delivery plan should name the responsible parties. Transport to a destination does not automatically include movement to the final pitch.
